Oracle Cloud (OCI) - Part 1 - Creating VCN Manually

In this blog series, I am writing about starting up afresh using OCI, creating a virtual instance of Windows Server and Database Server

The Part 1 is to setup the VCN. We setup VCN manually, that is create all the individual components manually.

Step 1 - Browse VCN
Go to Networking --> Virtual Cloud Networks

Step 2 - Click on Create Virtual Cloud Network

Step 3 - Provide details of VCN.
Select "Create Virtual Cloud Network Only". We will create other components manually.
Put in CIDR block as 10.10.0.0/16 and name the vcn as vcnlob1

Step 4 - Mention the DNS label as anything , "dbvcn" here.
Click Create Virtual Cloud Network and wait for VCN to get created.

Step 5 - Next step is to Create Subnet discussed in next blog.
