Oracle Database - RAC 12c - Convert Standard Cluster to Flex Cluster

The first step in conversion from a Standard Cluster to Flex Cluster is to Convert ASM to Flex ASM
which is described here - Convert ASM to Flex ASM

Converting to Flex Cluster requires a complete cluster outage.

Check cluster mode
[As root]
[root@rac1 ~]# crsctl get cluster mode status

Verify gns configuration
[root@rac1 ~]# srvctl config gns

[root@rac1 ~]# srvctl add gns -vip 10.10.10.111

Start gns
[root@rac1 ~]# srvctl start gns

Verify gns configuration
[root@rac1 ~]# srvctl config gns

[root@rac1 ~]# crsctl get cluster mode status
Cluster is running in "standard" mode

[root@rac2 ~]# crsctl set cluster mode flex

Stop crs on all nodes
